DPi
DPi (Daytona Prototype international) was IMSA's top prototype class from 2017 to 2022, designed to allow manufacturer branding on LMP2-derived chassis. Marques including Cadillac, Acura, Mazda, Nissan, and Chevrolet ran DPi-branded cars built on approved LMP2 platforms. The class was succeeded by LMDh from 2023, with several DPi chassis receiving homologation as interim LMDh machines during the transition.
